Flaming Lips, The • At War With The Mystics / 140Gr.

Americká rocková skupina založená v roce 1983 v Oklahoma City, kterou vede charismatický frontman Wayne Coyne. Kapela je známá svým experimentálním zvukem spojujícím neo‑psychedelii, alternativní rock a elektroniku, stejně jako svou výtvarně pojatou koncertní show plnou barev, konfet a vizuálních efektů. K jejich nejznámějším albům patří The Soft Bulletin (1999), Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots (2002) a At War With The Mystics (2006), která přinesla mimo jiné hity jako Do You Realize??. Vinylová reedice jedenáctého studiového alba rockové skupiny The Flaming Lips. Poprvé deska vyšla v roce 2006 a přináší chytlavou fúzi synth‑popu, funky rytmů a politicky angažovaného rocku. Nahrávka kombinuje pestrobarevnou, hravou produkci s tématy politické frustrace a společenské kritiky bušovské éry. Se skladbami jako hitová The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song, It Overtakes Me či Grammy oceněnou Mr. Ambulance Driver vzniklo hravé i kousavé dílo, které potvrdilo výjimečné postavení kapely na alternativní scéně.
